About Traralgon Plumber
Traralgon Plumber is a referral website run by Yes Right Pty Ltd. See how a plumbing enquiry is passed on and how to check a Victorian plumber's licence.
Traralgon Plumber is an enquiry and referral website operated by Yes Right Pty Ltd, ABN 91 664 546 061. It is not a plumbing business. We employ no plumbers or gasfitters, hold no plumbing licence and do not attend properties. An enquiry sent through this site goes to an independent licensed plumber in the Latrobe Valley, and that plumber decides whether to take the job, prices it and carries it out.
The site covers homes in Traralgon, Morwell, Moe, Churchill and the smaller towns around them. Start with the Traralgon area page or browse the plumbing services list to see what each kind of job involves before you write your enquiry.
What happens to your enquiry
- You fill in the enquiry form with your suburb, contact details and a description of the problem.
- Yes Right Pty Ltd reads it and passes your details to an independent plumber who handles that type of work in your area.
- If the plumber can help, they contact you, ask any questions they need and may want photos or a site visit before quoting.
- You decide whether to accept their quote. Nothing is booked until you and the plumber agree.
Sending the form does not guarantee that a plumber is available, that anyone will call within a set time or that the job will be accepted. The form is not monitored around the clock, so it is not the place to report a gas leak, a burst main or sewage coming into the house. For a suspected gas leak, leave the building and call your gas emergency line from outside. For a leak or fault on the water or sewer network outside your property, contact Gippsland Water.
The independent provider that takes the job may pay Yes Right Pty Ltd a referral fee. That arrangement does not change the price you are quoted, and you are free to get other quotes.
What the plumber is responsible for
The plumber you engage is responsible for the quote, the booking, the materials, the standard of the work and any warranty. In Victoria that also means:
- holding a current licence or registration in the right class of plumbing, such as water supply, drainage, sanitary or gasfitting
- giving you a compliance certificate where the law requires one, for example for gas appliance work, below-ground sanitary drains and larger jobs
- carrying the insurance that applies to work needing a compliance certificate
- arranging any council or water corporation approval the job needs, such as a septic permit or a sewer connection consent
If something goes wrong with the work, raise it with the plumber first. Keep your quote, invoice and photos. If it cannot be sorted out, the Building and Plumbing Commission can assess complaints about plumbing work.
How to check a plumber’s licence in Victoria
Plumbers and gasfitters in Victoria are registered or licensed by the Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC), which took over from the former building regulator on 1 July 2025. Before work starts:
- search the BPC practitioner register by name, business name or licence number, and confirm the class matches your job
- check the Compliance and Enforcement Register for disciplinary action or prosecutions
- ask the plumber to show their practitioner ID card on site
- for gas work, Energy Safe Victoria advises using a licensed gasfitter and asking to see the licence (Energy Safe Victoria guidance)
The BPC explains what a compliance certificate covers and how long plumbing insurance lasts on its plumbing insurance page.
Contact and privacy
Questions about an enquiry, or a request to see or correct the details we hold, can be sent through the enquiry form or as a reply to any message from us. The privacy notice explains what we collect, why, and who it is shared with.
Next step
Tell us the suburb, what has gone wrong, how long it has been happening and whether the house is on town sewer or a septic tank. Add the make and age of any hot water unit involved. Then send your plumbing enquiry and an independent plumber can decide whether they can help.
